mnemosline® is a fruit of the 50 years of work of the team of outstanding Italian neurologist, surgeon Professor Francesco Ferro Milone and Professor Adolfo Porro Chief Geriatrics Specialist at the State Hospital in Vicenza, Professor Franco Binda Geriatrics Specialist and Tullio Minelli Professor of Mathematics at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Padova. Many years of research have been conducted at the Alzheimer State Institute in Vicenza with people suffering from Alzheimer's disease, depression and other neurodegenerative issues.

It has been designed mainly for use in problems linked to memory loss, above all in the over 60s population. In younger populations, besides having an effect on memory, the same use also affects mood and the sleep-wake cycle.

 

From EEG mnemosline® helmet to mnemosline® 2020

The first patented mnemosline® medical device consisted of a special EEG mnemosline® helmet and an individually programmable device with SLI light. It was a system designed for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.  Neurologist presence was necessary when using the EEG mnemosline® helmet device. Physician using the software performed personalized calibration of mnemosline® medical device, which allowed it to be used by one person only. This method turned out to be particularly functional, but wanting to have a product simpler to use and cheaper in calibration phase (taking into account the cost of EEG and doctor's work) and available to a larger number of people, a patented mnemosline® 2020 electronic device was developed.
